Commission Approves State Aid for Alpha Ventus Offshore Wind Park

The European Commission has authorised Germany under EU state aid rules to provide EUR 30 million aid for Alpha Ventus, Germany’s first off-shore wind park.
Alpha Ventus is the world’s first offshore wind park located far away from the coast in water deeper than 25 m. Environment Minister Norbert Röttgen said that the aid will be granted shortly.

The Federal Government is planning to have 25,000 MW of offshore wind installed by 2030.
