Preliminary New German PV Capacity in June 664 MWp – Adjustment of Older Figures

According to preliminary figures from the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA), 664 MWp in new German PV capacity were added in June. BNetzA also appears to have revised PV capacity figures for prior months.

New capacity so far continues to be considerably lower than in the boom year 2010, reflecting the various feed-in tariff reductions of the past.

It appears as if BNetzA has revised its figures from October 2010 up to the May 2011 figures. Detailed figures for June 2011 shall be made available shortly.

The preliminary total for the first half of 2011 is 1,747 MWp, leading to an overall total of 19,039 MWp.

The revised figures for October to December 2010, for January to May 2011, and the preliminary June figure lead to the following PV capacity table per 30 June 2011:
