Third Amendment of Equalisation Scheme Execution Ordinance Entered Into Force on 1 February 2015

An amendment of the Equalisation Scheme Execution Ordinance  (AusglMechAV) has entered into force on 1 February. The revision intends to enhance the efficiency and transparency of renewable power that is sold by the transmission system operators (TSOs). The aim is to lower costs for electricity consumers who have to pay a renewable surcharge that increases the electricity price.

Government Approves Amendment of Equalisation Scheme and Execution Ordinances

The government has adopted an amendment that shall bring the Equalisation Scheme Ordinance (AusglMechV) and the Execution Ordinance (AusglMechAV) in line with the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG 2014) that entered into force on 1 August 2014.

Consultation on Proposal for Ordinance Amending Ordinances Regulating EEG Surcharge

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) has submitted a draft ordinance amending the Equalisation Scheme Ordinance (AusglMechV) and the Execution Ordinance (AusglMechAV) for review and comment by the stakeholders. The amendment intends to bring AusglMechV and AusglMechAV in line with the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG 2014) that entered into force on 1 August 2014. An important aspect is that the renewable energy surcharge on electricity (EEG surcharge), which under the EEG 2014 has to be paid also for self-generated and consumed green power (certain grandfathering rules and exemptions apply), shall not be levied by the transmission system operators (TSOs), but by the operators of the grid the renewable power plant is connected to.

AusglMechAV Amendment Enters into Force on 1 January 2011

On 1 January 2011, the amendment of the Equalisation Scheme Execution Ordinance (AusglMechAV) will enter into force. AuslMechAV sets the rules for transmission systems operators (TSOs) for the marketing of energy from renewable sources for which fixed feed-in tariffs are paid pursuant to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).

EEG Reallocation Charge Estimate for 2012 and Medium Term Forecast Published

The German transmission system operators Amprion GmbH, 50 Hertz Transmission GmbH, EnBW Transportnetze AG and Tennt TSO GmbH (TSOs) published their EEG reallocation charge estimate for 2012 and a medium term forecast until 2015.

Federal Network Agency Draft for AusglMechAV Amendment

After a consultation process, Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency) presented a draft amendment of the Equalisation Scheme Execution Ordinance (AusglMechAV). The draft contains revised rules for marketing renewable energy that network operators have to buy pursuant to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
