BfN Survey on Nature Awareness 2011 Shows Preference for Offshore Wind Power

The study “Nature Awareness 2011” carried out on behalf of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (Bundesamt für Naturschutz – BfN) shows broad support for Germany’s energy policy shift towards a renewable energy supply. The study also reveals a clear preference for offshore followed by onshore wind power, BfN reported.

Permitting Problems for Offshore Wind Park Foundations?

Financial Times Deutschland (FTD) yesterday reported that the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (Bundesamt für Naturschutz – BfN) denies wind parks the necessary permits for the foundations for nature conservation reasons.  BfN today rejected the report as faulty.
