BNetzA: 2,540 MW Reserve Capacity Required for Winter 2013/2014

BNetzA Announces 2.5% Degression of Solar Feed-in Tariffs for November to January

The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur – BNetzA) announced that the feed-in tariffs for electricity generated by photovoltaic installations commencing operation between 1 November 2012 and 31 January 2013 will decrease by 2.5% per month.

Federal Network Agency: Further Delay in Grid Expansion

The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has published quarterly figures of the agency’s monitoring of the process of gird expansion projects of the Energy Line Extension Act (EnLAG). These quarterly figures showed that most of the 24 extra-high voltage power line projects which receive priority treatment under the Energy Line Extension Act (EnLAG) are delayed.

REMIT – EU Legislation on Insider Trading and Market Manipulation in Wholesale EU Energy Markets Entered Into Force

Today the European regulation No 1227/2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency entered into force (REMIT). With it, as of today, insider trading and market manipulation are specifically prohibited in the covered area. Market participants and persons professionally arranging transactions are now obliged to publish certain insider information.

BNetzA: Consultation on Capacity Allocation for Offshore Grid Connection

The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has opened a determination procedure (Festlegungsverfahren) to establish criteria to allocate offshore grid connection capacity. It has published a key issue paper and asked for comments by 31 January 2012.

Federal Network Agency Approved Scenario Framework for Grid Development

Yesterday the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) announced the major content of its scenario framework for future grid development.  The scenario framework is the basis for the national grid development plan, including all measures for grid expansion, grid optimization) which the TSOs have to present on an annual basis, for the first time on 3 June 2012

Federal Network Agency Draft for AusglMechAV Amendment

After a consultation process, Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency) presented a draft amendment of the Equalisation Scheme Execution Ordinance (AusglMechAV). The draft contains revised rules for marketing renewable energy that network operators have to buy pursuant to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
