German Energy Shift at DAJV Section Conference

The German American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV) will hold its Section Conference on 10 March 2012 in Frankfurt. The Antitrust Regulated Industries Media (ARIM) Section will dedicate its sessions to Germany’s decision after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster to pull out of nuclear energy earlier than previous envisaged and reach an 80% renewable energy supply by 2050. The other topic will be European energy regulation.

First DAJV/AmCham Conference on Bridges to a Renewable Energy Supply

The first jointly organized conference by the American Chamber of Commerce in Düsseldorf (AmCham) and the German American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV) on 9 June 2010 was well received. The event’s subject “Bridging the gap – A nuclear or conventional bridge to more renewable energy”  drew wide attention. Almost 60 participants from energy sector companies, ministries and regulatory bodies as well as law firms and law schools gathered at the Industrie-Club in Düsseldorf.
