Consultation on Electricity Grid Development Plan 2012 Completed

On 2 November 2012 the public consultation process of Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) on the Electricity Grid Development Plan 2012 (NEP 2012) ended.  BNetzA received more than 2,700 submissions.

BNetzA Starts Consultation on Electricity Grid Development Plan 2012

The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has started a public consultation on the Electricity Grid Development Plan 2012 (NEP 2012) as drawn up by the four German transmission system operators. The public is asked to comment by 2 November 2012. The respective documents as well as a preliminary assessment and an environmental report can be found online.

ENTSO-E Publishes Ten-Year Network Development Plan

The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) has released its Ten-Year Network Development Plan 2012 (TYNDP) and submitted it to the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) for opinion in line with Regulation 2009/714/EC on conditions for access to the network for cross-border exchanges in electricity.

Grid Development Plan Consultation: 3,800 km of New Power Lines and Grid Modernisation

The four German transmission system operators (TSOs) Amprion GmbH, 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, Tennet TSO GmbH and Transnet BW GmbH have presented the first national ten-year grid development plan. It contains measures to modernise, enhance and extend the electricity networks that the TSOs consider necessary over the next ten years. The grid development plan is up for public consultation from 30 May to 10 July 2012.

TSOs Launch Joint Website for Grid Development Plan

The four German transmission system operators (TSOs) have launched a joint website to provide transparent and competent information as well as a platform to interact with interested parties regarding the new grid development plan.
