Reduced CO2 Reduction Targets Due to Nuclear Shutdown in Baden-Württemberg

The  Baden-Württemberg coalition government (Green Party/Social Democrats) approved the key points of a Climate Protection Act. It provides for a reduction of CO2 emissions by 90% in 2050 compared with 1990. However, for 2020 it lowers the target to 25%.  The federal target is 40% for 2020.
